How
to Download
To download a file to your local computer, press
and hold <Shift> and click on the link for the file you want.
Your browser will bring up a window allowing you to select where
on your computer you want to place the file; choose a location and
click Save. All forms and documents on the OCG site are available
in PDF format (see below). Many are also available in Microsoft
Word or Excel for Windows or MS-Word for Macintosh formats. See
below for information about PDF and Word files.
How
to work with PDF Files
Portable Document Format files are the creation of
Adobe Systems, Inc. (their Web site)
A PDF file such as the ones on the OCG site can be used on any platform
-- Windows, Unix, OS/2, etc. and their variations. All you need is
the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is free.
Click on the yellow button below if you would like to download Reader.
Once Reader is installed on your computer, you can work with any PDF
document by simply opening it inside Reader.
Important
note about PDF files
Unfortunately, Reader does not allow you to save
PDF files. Obviously, this is not a problem if you plan to print
out the form you have downloaded and fill it in by hand. However,
if you plan to fill out the form on-line and then print it, you
must do so all in one sitting. Whatever data you enter on a PDF
form will be lost when you close Reader or turn off your computer.
How
to Work with Microsoft Word Files
The MS-Word files on the OCG site are regular document
files that you can work with in MS-Word. Unlike Reader, Word will
allow you to save the file. If you do not have MS-Word,
you can still use Word documents; Microsoft provides a free
viewer that allows you to view and print them. Click on the icon below
if you would like to download Viewer.
