Navigating SBIR/STTR Commercialization Grants: the Process, the Agency & the Award (HTC Seminar)
Document Actions
HTC's topic for this seminar is SBIR / STTR grants and its focus is educating others about the available grants, the process to apply and what can help companies get the money. While Texas ranks as a top national leader in creation of IP, it ranks well below in SBIR funding. HTC would like to help Texas and its local companies get its fair share of the SBIR money that is available and for that HTC has gathered experts from various agencies and companies that were awarded grants by different agencies in different sectors to share knowledge and experiences
SBIR and STTR grants are non-dilutional, early stage funds that are available to all small businesses in every sector. These grants not only help fund your business but can also help you qualify for awards from the Texas Emerging Technology Fund, provide credibility and validate your project for many other early funding opportunities.
SBIR and STTR grants offer multi-phase financing and are available from a variety of agencies covering multiple disciplines. However, due to ever-changing demands and rising competition, applicants with better understanding of the process and requirements stand a better chance to receive these funds.
This educational seminar will host a panel of experts representing different points of view, that will help you learn which grants are available, how to apply and what you can do to increase your probability to succeed.
