Software Requirements

To enable grant proposal submissions through Grants.gov, the electronic application package must be prepared using a free software program, PureEdge Viewer, and its upgrade.  This software requires that a Windows operating system is used and that all forms are converted to PDF format.

The following are software applications that allow you to successfully navigate the Grants.gov pages and complete your application:

A small, free program that provides access to the grant application.

For non-Windows users, a free Citrix server is available to remotely launch a Windows session and submit completed grant applications.

Downloadable programs that allow users to read and transmit Portable Document Format (PDF) files that are contained within the Grants.gov system, particularly in certain grant-making agencies’ application process.
